Our approach at Fitzgerald Photography is to create a relaxed but professional atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable. The whole point is to replace the stiff and posed with a fun look that people can relate to.
Our style is more or less non-directed. Your wedding day is documented as a timeline story rather than a series of group pictures. We go beyond the strict, "three hours of photography before the ceremony" approach, to capture the day as it unfolds; what I call, the "spirit of the day". This approach comes from my background as a working photojournalist where I learned to capture meaningful images without any posing; I won three Press Association awards. I also have studied portrait photography in-depth and can alternate between both styles. I started photographing weddings about fifteen years ago. Friends asked me to document their wedding day with images that captured the spontaneity of their day rather than the posed, generic images produced by traditional wedding photographers. One wedding led to another and eventually into a full-time pursuit. Okay, but most folks still want some group photos (especially of the family and the wedding party). I'm happy to photograph as many or as few groups and as formal or informal as you wish. It would be my pleasure to have the opportunity to show you what I've done for others. Just give me a call to set up an appointment. |
